The Ocean Diver training usually starts in December with the Theory Lessons being held on Tuesday nights in Elmwood College and the pool training happening straight afterwards in Cupar Swimming pool.

When the pool and classroom sessions have finished then its into the sea to finish off the Ocean Diver Sylabus.

If you are already qualified from another recognised organisation you can cross over to a BSAC qualification. The table below shows the qualifications that are considered to be similer standard to BSAC.

The Branch Diving Offier has responsibility for the saftey of all Branch Members. If the DO feels that the skill of a new member, originally trained by another organisation, are lacking, the DO has the liberty to require the member to undertake appropriate refresher training and/or limit their open water activities until a satisfactory level of skills performance has been demonstrated.
